Yo, what it do?!
September was about deciding what deserved to move forward.
October is what happens after that decision.
Once you carry something into the next season, you start seeing what was hiding underneath it the whole time. The habits. The systems. The relationships. The assumptions. The things that technically work, but only because somebody keeps compensating for them.
October’s theme is The Shadow Audit.
Not because everything hidden is bad.
Because anything we refuse to look at still has influence over where we go next.
Lifestyle After5 is moving through that same question.
Lord of Perfected Work looks at the invisible systems inside founder-led businesses and why the way a company actually operates can be completely different from the way the founder thinks it operates.
Stogie Sesh goes deeper into fall with two drops this month, exploring darker wrappers, cooler-weather smoking, and what makes a cigar fit the season.
Dreams Overnight looks at reinvention through music and pop culture, asking what happens when an artist, movement, or identity can no longer survive as its old version.
V Suite continues conversations with women building, leading, and navigating what happens when visibility, responsibility, and growth begin pulling in different directions.
Company Soul turns toward the things people avoid saying inside relationships, partnerships, and teams, and how silence can quietly shape what happens next.
Futurism News looks at AI, synthetic media, automation, and the growing question of trust in a world where more of what we see can be generated.
Smoke and Mirrors heads into the strange again, exploring Skinwalker Ranch, portal theories, “thin places,” and humanity’s fascination with places where the normal rules seem to break down.
Enterprise Blueprint returns as our monthly look behind the curtain, breaking down what Lifestyle Enterprises and Lifestyle After5 are building, producing, testing, fixing, and learning this month.
Different conversations. Same shadow.
What is actually running the system when nobody is looking?
October is where we find out.
Let’s get into it.

Theme: Transformation, endings, exposure, regeneration
Astro Energy: Libra moving into Scorpio season — relationships, balance, depth, power + transformation
Spiritual Focus: Recognize what has already completed its work and stop forcing it to remain alive.
Death is not necessarily about destruction.
It is the moment when something has reached the end of the form it used to have.
A habit.
A relationship dynamic.
A role.
A system.
A way of working.
A version of yourself.
October asks us to notice the difference between something that needs improvement and something that needs to end.

Color: Oxblood + Black Cherry
Scent: Vetiver + clove + incense wood
Style: Dark leather, washed denim, wool, velvet, bone cream, smoked olive, tarnished gold, structured outerwear
Mood: Candlelight, wet pavement, dark wood, old books, and the feeling that something underneath the surface is finally becoming visible.
September brought the warmth of the harvest.
October turns the lights down.
Practice: Compare what is supposed to happen with what actually happens.
Once a week, choose one area of your life, work, or relationships and ask:
What is the official system?
Then:
What is the real system?
The difference between those two answers is where the shadow lives.
Mantra: “What I can see, I can choose.”
October moves us deeper into fall, so the focus shifts toward warmer, denser, more grounding foods.
Fruits: Apples, pears, pomegranate, cranberries
Veggies: Pumpkin, squash, beets, carrots, mushrooms, dark leafy greens
Nuts: Walnuts, chestnuts, pumpkin seeds
Herbs & Additions: Thyme, rosemary, cloves, cinnamon, ginger
Grains: Barley, oats, brown rice, wild rice
Cigar: San Andrés Maduro / Connecticut Broadleaf
Notes: Cocoa, earth, espresso, black pepper, molasses, charred wood
Non-Alc: Espresso / cacao / masala chai
Alc: Rye Manhattan, aged rum, porter or stout

This month’s Company Soul episode brings Lord Shu and Aurora into a deeper conversation about business, people, pressure, and healing. The episode starts with Shu as moderator and Aurora as host, but quickly turns into a larger conversation about what business owners owe to the people and communities around them.
The core question was simple: what happens when people are overwhelmed, unsupported, and pushed past their limits?
Shu and Aurora talked about crime, mental health, anger, stress, and how business culture often ignores the human beings inside the system. Shu connected the conversation back to entrepreneurship, saying business owners have to look out for the people who work for them instead of only chasing scale and money at the expense of people’s lives and mental health.
Aurora brought the conversation into her own work with Lost Coast Getaways, where she is developing healing-centered retreats for the Jacksonville, North Carolina community. Her vision includes separate retreat spaces for women, men, and families with children, with children under seven planned to receive free tickets. The goal is not just one event, but an ongoing resource that helps people find support and “do the homework” of healing.
That is the real Company Soul message this month:
Business should not only extract. Business should restore.
Aurora is building around food, nature, therapy, movement, and community. She shared early vendor and resource plans, including local catering, coffee, bakers, pastors, therapists, yoga or Pilates, nature-based activities, ferry access, and shuttle support. The retreat is being designed so people can leave with resources tailored to them and continue the healing work after they go home.
Shu also gave an update on Lifestyle Enterprises and the consulting direction. He shared that the company has been shifting into consulting, partnering with Wiseways in Montreal, building around AI-supported consulting tools, and already attracting early consulting interest before the full marketing push began.
The episode closes with a reminder that the work is bigger than business. Aurora says we have to protect children because they are the next generation, and Shu connects that directly to why he creates podcasts and builds infrastructure in the first place.
